Got 6mm for my tragus, and it was perfect. It looks really cute! My only problem is opening and closing it because it’s so small, but it seems to be strong enough to not worry even if I get hair in it.

Got the 16g 8mm rose gold hoop for my orbital but underestimated the size I would need for it. I use it in my tragus piercing instead and I really like it. The hinge made it easier to put in and feels more secure than a twist in hoop. Will be ordering a size up for an appropriate orbital fit on my ear.
